Module 3 covers content in Chapter 3 of your linked textbook.  First you started with the smallest units of matter at the atomic level, and now you will build in complexity as you examine how molecules interact as organelles in our cells.  Cells cooperate as tissues and tissues as organs and organ systems.  As you progress through your course, you will continue to build on the complexity of life as you work through the physiology and anatomy of organisms, and examine how organisms interact in populations and communities to make up the ecosystems of the biosphere (the earth and our atmosphere).  This module and your assigned reading addresses cell structure by describing the different types of cells and some of the ways cells work.
