Module 3 covers content in Ch 3 of your linked textbook.  You that you have started with the smallest units of matter at the atomic level, you will now build in complexity as you next examine how molecules interact as organelles in our cells.  Cells cooperate as tissues and tissues as organs and organ systems.  As you progress through your course, you will continue to build on the complexity of life as you work through the physiology and anatomy of organisms, and examine how organisms interact in populations and communities to make up the ecosystems of the biosphere (the earth and our atmosphere).  This module and your assigned reading addresses cell structure by describing the different types of cells and some of the ways cells work.
