The student and instructor for the course the student is moving into would need to email the faculty liaison in Admissions & Records For additional information, contact the Faculty Support liaison in the Admissions and Records Office to request a move add/move drop. Admissions & Records needs to administrate this type of transfer.

When a student is requesting a transfer after the third week of the semester, from one class section to another, student should be aware of the following:

Allowable transfers may only be done for different sections (CRN’s) of the same course that run during the same calendar time frame. For example: ENGL G100 to ENGL G100 – if both sections are 16 week classes, or if both are 1^st 8 week or both are 2^nd 8 week classes. A student may not transfer from a 16 week class to an 8 week class or vice versa. Nor may he/she transfer from a 1^st 8 week to a 2^nd 8 weeks section or vice versa. Also, a student may not transfer from one class to a different type of class, for example; ENGL G100 to ENGL G110.
Allowable transfers, as noted above, are possible only if the receiving Instructor accepts the student for transfer.
